I should've used the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard.. but it's too late

now. I already copied my old PC entire harddrive and then wiped it clean. So

am wondering is it possible to export/migrate these old PC user profiles

into my new PC?

I believe things like Outlook Express, MSN Messenger, and many other

Microsoft programs uses GUIDs or security IDs... and the files are encrypted

or cannot be opened unless it matches the user account's security ID.

You should have used FTW...Either way,try:http://www.microsoft.com/technet

Locate security, tools, chk out the file encryption/decryption tools

listed,they may

help..However,if you cloned youre hd,then the new should be same as old,

that goes for settings,user profiles,etc...

No I didn not clone. I just copied the Documents & Settings folder.. then

reinstalled Windows XP.. so that each user account has a new SID. I would

like to know if it's possible to synchronise these SIDs so that new profiles

can use these old accounts. Am sure it's possible?
