Error In Even Viewer -- WindrvNT

There is an error which shows up in the Event Viewer. It is about the

Service Control Manager and its ID is 7000. The description is:

The windrvNT service failed to start due to the following error:

The system cannot find the file specified.

The system runs fine with no apparent problems. How do I go about clearing

this error.

Thank you very much.

windrvNT is NOT a Windows file, it installs when Folder Lock

(http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/) is installed OR Folder lock is used

on a USB falsh drive connected to the computer.

Uninstall and reinstall might correct the problem.

Thank you.

I removed Folder Lock from my system months ago, maybe even late last year.

Is there some other program that would have installed it? Thank you. again.

Re: Error In Even Viewer -- WindrvNT

When Folder Lock is used on a USB flash drive connected to the computer

windrvNT gets installed on the computer. Do you still use the drives used

when Folder Lock was installed? The problem is the service is being started

but could not start because a file is missing. The unisntall you made maybe

did not complete. Install and uninstall could solve the problem. Another

thing that could solve the problem is stopping the service: Start > Run, type

services.msc. Locate the service which is something like WindrvNT Service or

Folder Lock Service, double click it, in the Service Properties "Startup

type:" choose Disabled (its running Automatic thus the problem).

Re: Error In Even Viewer -- WindrvNT

Thanks again.

Neither Windrvnt or Folder Lock show up in Services.msc. However, Windrvnt

shows up in a couple of places in the registry. I think I may try backing

up the registry and then deleting the instances.

It is no big problem but it does bug me to have it flagged as an error in

the event viewer
