I've got a problem since updating windows. Computer won't boot up properly at

all now.

Automatic updates was installing sp3. Mid-way through, computer restarted!?.

On restarting, a message came up saying that installation had been

interrupted and that it was attempting to restore to an earlier setting.

After this appeared to be complete, the pc restarted, asked for a password

(doesn't normally), then loaded my desktop wallpaper & then stopped

responding. Only the wallpaper loads up, and the mouse pointer moves, but

there are no icons or anything and it does not respond to control alt delete.

Any ideas please?
