Guest JMTP Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 For several months now, a number of my users have reported that Outlook items, particularly draft emails, are being grouped on their Taskbars as Word Documents rather than as Outlook files. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? We're using Windows XP, SP2 with MS Office 2003. Thanks.

Disable it & use the native Outlook editor (HTML, not rich text) and see if this clears up. I don't recommend Wordmail as it's bloated and causes problems. Users can always turn it on for "as needed" messages and revert to the Outlook editor for regular use....Outlook 2007 doesn't even let you choose Word, thankfully. If this doesn't resolve your question, I suggest you post in microsoft.public.outlook for more expert help, as this is not likely to be a Windows issue.
