Guest Sal Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I recently networked two computers together as a workgroup through a wireless router using the network setup wizard. Both computers are running XP-SP3. Everything seems to work fine, but in My Network Places on one computer it shows both computers as a Local Network, and on the other computer one is on the Local Network and the other is under the label "The Internet". As I said, everything seems to be working fine now, but will this cause problems in the future? I'm curious about this. Why aren't they under Local Network on both computers?

Check the workgroup names and be sure firewalls on both machines are allowing the comms to happen.
