Need help on Shadow Copy and TCP/IP or MSDE 2000 conflict

Just installed a program called TimeClock Plus which uses the MSDE 2000

function and also it has to have a com port in the TCP/IP area. Default

is 1430 but we had to use 1555 because there default settings uses 1430

and this caused the database on the TimeClock plus program not to work.

Shadow copy will not run when the TimeClock SQL manager is running. If

I stop the SQL server program and run the Shadow Copy again it works. I

need some help on this. I called Time Clock Plus and they had me change

the ports from 1555 to a few others but this has not worked.

I also have heard if I set the loop back in the firewall settings this

will fix the problem. I cannot get to the firewall settings due to

another program keeping from getting there due to it running. I am new

to the server world and need some help.

Thanks
