Setting default behavior for Music CD - iTunes overriding Windows?

Windows XP SP2 Home

I have set the Autoplay preferences for Music CD to "open folder to

show files" and checked the box for "always do selected action". It

does this correctly the first time. But then the next time it forgets

this setting somehow and launches iTunes instead, (which I don't

want). I've tried resetting this like a million times and it just

keeps forgetting. How do I get this to stick?

Is iTunes somehow overriding Windows on this? I've looked for a

setting within iTunes to tweek but cannot find one.

One or more options/settings in an ever-growing number of third-party

applications may be disallowing the change(s) from "sticking". These include

but are not limited to Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer,

SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor, CounterSpy, AVG Anti-Spyware,

Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, NOD32, and Zone Alarm

(Free, Pro, & Security Suite).

I'm not running any of those. I'm using avast! 4.8 anti-virus.
