This is a previous "known" / "published" warning!!! If you have installed IE 7 or IE8 prior to updating to Service Pack 3, you will not be able to uninstall the "newer" IE.

In the examples you mentioned, the user could uninstall SP3. But once someone installs IE8 Beta 2, even that option is gone. Changing the topic... Has anyone noticed that Outlook Express is unable to properly handle attribution marks when replying to a post like smlunatick's? (That is, Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 / Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable, as in Google Groups) OEQuoteFix seems to fix this issue. Still, I think I'd like to try another newsreader that has a similar feel to OE but that also is GNKSA-compliant. So far, I've tried Xnews, Agent, 40tude, and Thinderbird, but to tell you the truth, none of these seems to be as comfortable as OE!
