Guest Ivan Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Hi there, Does anyone know that why there is a sudden Windows Messenger link in my Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu. I have not installed Windows Messenger in that machine. Does it related to Windows XP SP3 or hotfix? And how to hide this? Please advise? Thanks Ivan

The old MSN Messenger and the current Windows Live Messenger need to be downloaded and installed if you want them. Go to Start/All Programs and you should see Windows Messenger listed there. I don't know if removing Windows Messenger with the Windows Add/Remove (as distinguished from the Programs Add/Remove) but I don't know if it would remove the icon from IE6. Alias
