Guest gary Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 My Excel 2007 spreadsheet has been "Not Responding" for HOURS. I can hear the hard drive spinning (at various speeds) but, on the PC, the green activity light (indicating that data is being written to or read from the hard drive) has been flashing very infrequently. I don't want to lose the changes I've made to my spreadsheet so how can I save my spreadsheet? What could be causing the "Not Responding" condition?

This is a Windows XP newsgroup. An Excel newsgroup would be a far better place to post this questiion.

Or does it act this way on other apps? If just Excel, you may want to re-install it after saving your personal files onto a flash drive on some other personal folder on your hard drive. EW
