Guest lesha.akulinin@gmail.com Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I can choose between "Optimize for quick removal" and "Optimize for performance" for my external USB flash drive when I logged as administrator, but it is always set to "Optimize for performance" when I work under user account. Is there a way to let a user work with "Optimize for quick removal" option switched on? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to let a user work with > "Optimize for quick removal" option switched on? This is unusual, I've no idea why this happens. But I know that these policies have no effect on 'removable' USB drives. The only thing that changes is that formatting the drive with the NTFS file system is allowed when "Optimize for performance" is set. There is no measurable effect on the file cache's behaviour, so, don't worry... Uwe
