I assume that this is in reference to the Microsoft message boards or something

correct? I can’t see any of that stuff because I am posting through a

newsreader, but I’ve seen similar things with other sites.

 

Try pressing the Tab button several times. It should eventually outline the part

of the webpage where the Sign-In button should be, and the status bar should

change to whatever the sign-in URL is. When the invisible sign-in button is

outlined, you can press Enter to “click” it.

 

As for why it’s invisible, did you run any security apps recently like SpyBot? I

would hazard a guess that the server on which the sign-in button’s graphic file

is stored has been added to the HOSTS file.
