ntbackup folders only no files

using ntbackup on win 2k3 server

backing up 1 folder

destination = another win 2k3 server

backup scheduled to run every night at 11:00 p.m.

the backup file contains folders only, no files

no errors in backup log

event viewer shows backup & verification successful

 

any ideas?

- What's the size of the .bkf file?

- What's the exact ntbackup command (with all the switches!)?

A lot of ideas.

First, what is the backup type? May be You're watching one of incremental

copies where no changed files found - incremental backup includes only

changed (or created) since last backup files, but contains complete folder

structure.

Are you using the UNC name or mapped drives? The latter just plain don't

work well (or at all).
