As for the data, you can try Windows Easy Transfer: Windows Help - Transferring files and settings: frequently asked questions http://tinyurl.com/6q53vn Or just copy the data to USB flash drive or burn to CD/DVD. Works wonders and fantastic for doing backups. Up to 500 Gigs are pretty reasonable priced nowadays. I have a 500 on this machine and a 360 Gig to service my laptop and the DELL dual-xeon ex-server.
