Mouse, internet and restore not working

Hi, my little girl played about on my computer and deleted some programmes, what i dont know. So me thinking i could rectify it, restored my computer to an earlier date. What a mistake! Now my mouse dosent work, my internet wont connect and i cant even restore it back to the original point. Everytime i try to restore it , i keep getting just a white screen with nothing on it. Please help!

Welcome to ExTS

 

Switch on and tap F8 constantly about once per second.

Select "Last known good configuration" from the list of options.

Hi KenB, just tried this but still no joy, everything else is working fine bar the mouse, internet and system restore as posted, mouse is even lit up and tried a different mouse. Why i mess with computers i dont know,lol.

What type of mouse are you using?

 

If it is USB is there an option to try a PS2 ( round connection ) ?

 

Assuming USB Mouse ......have you tried any other USB device and if so ....is it working ?

Yes my mouse is USB but so are my keyboard and speakers and they seem to work fine.
