Guest Blake Kaos Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Is there any way to 'switch off' a keyboard on Win XP Pro and conversely, is there some way to switch it back on? It seems my main administrator profile has either been corrupted or somehow changed so that it does not recognise the keyboard. Other user profiles seem to work normally on the same hardware. I have tried to remove / reinstall the keyboard using Device Manager & tried to use an USB keyboard - all to no avail. I tried to copy the profile (sans the nti* files), but it is a pain to do so since I have to use the on-screen virtual keyboard to do so. Anyway, I have not been successful in transferring the old profile into a new profile. Before I commit harakiri (a.k.a. reformatting the hard drive and re-installing XP), I wonder whether there are any ways to activate/de-activate the keyboard, which I may have overlooked.
