IT IS BETA. People that are here because of computer issues DON'T need

to add another UNKNOWN to the mix.

Google Chrome Browser Vulnerable to Security Flaw

I wonder if Google Chrome tracks our internet surfing habit and sends a

report to their servers. I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Under Options for Chrome 0.2.149.27 there is an option to disable

usage statistics and crash reports being sent to Google. Whether it

(Chrome) collects other information you can speculate - but Google

( as a company ) is in the Data collection/Ad Revenue business.

Re: Google Chrome.

Definitely tracks what goes into the google search box-you can even find out

statistics yourself by googling them ;)

Noooooooooooooo! I’m already sneezing my liver out. And I am sick and tired of

the damned noise of lawnmowers all day, every day.

Do something else. Go knit or do origami, they’re creative, productive, and

pretty. Plus, they’re good for hand-eye coordination and may help with

carple-tunnel not to mention Zenishly calming.

Per John:

I wonder if that's what happened to me at work the other day.

Tried out Chrome bc I hoped it might make me a little faster/more

efficient.

It *was* fast - a *lot* faster.....

But I wound up setting off the network virus alarms within 30

minutes of first using it.

I had Googled for something like "Passive Laddered Municipal

Bonds Table Structure".

Got a reasonable-looking hit list - albeit entirely different

from the hit list I got with the same search under FireFox.

Clicked a promising-looking link and Shazam! I was looking at a

porn site *with* sound. Thank g-d I had the sound routed to a

head set and nobody was walking by.

Couldn't close the tab either. Had to kill Chrome via TaskMan.

Help Desk called about the virus alert within a few minutes of

that.

release.
