Plastic Nev Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Hi, a little puzzled here as to which keys you mean as the normal Windows generic keyboard drivers contain all that should be required. Have you looked in device manager? to get to the manager click "Start" then "Run" and either type in or copy and paste devmgmt.msc then click OK. Click the arrow on the left of Keyboards which should then show something like "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" Double click on that, then the drivers tab in the window that then opens. try "Update drivers" let us know what you find, and exactly which keys are not at present working please. Also can you try another keyboard, just in case the one you have has a fault? Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. sportie Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 hi i have done that, device manager says i have a standard 101/102 -key or microsoft neutrals ps/2 keyboard i tried to update the driver and the wizard could not find a better match than what it already got, after trying to update the driver and having no sucess i have uninstalled the keyboard through device manager ...reebooted to see if this made any difference unfortunatly it just gave me the same driver the buttons that dont function are the 4 small cluster of buttons in the top left corner and the audio controls atthe top right sideof the keyboard which control fast ff/rewind/volume mute etc, i know this buttons do work as it was working perfectly prior to doing a full install unfortunatly i do not have the motherboard driverdisc/keyboard drivers etc i have hat to look for all these individually everything else is working fine / thanks Quote
