hi there

I have a windows 7 Ultimate installed on;

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 2.80GHz

4Gb ram

32 bit OS

Asus M2v Rev 1.xx

American Megatrends Inc. v1102

80Gb Maxtor 6Y080L0

Radeon X1950 Pro

Creative AudioPCI

Atheros AR5007G Wireless Network Adapter

The system is running fine most of the time. I bought some more ram as I only had 2gb installed and it kept not booting or displaying stuff on-screen. The main problem is when playing sound, it can often be buggy and unusable. I often listen to music from the online service last.fm and because it is so buggy it is unlistenable. I thought buying more ram would cure it, but it has improved my system but not thew sound. I thought putting in a seperate audio pci might solve it, but it hasn't. Can anybody suggest what it might be. I know I might have not put all the information down for you to see, if you want me to show any addtional information please ask.

Thanks

Sam

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

On line sound services may well be poor especially during busy periods and/or if your connection speed is low.

What is sound quality like when playing a CD? or DVD?

Also have you looked at the speakers themselves, are they of reasonable quality and can you try them on a different sound system?
