Guest edje Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 after i have manualy cleaned up my registry after lots of virus and spyware infections, there's suddenly a password set in my XP home sp2. when trying to log on in safe mode (admin) there is also a password requiered. i think i have deleted the wrong reg-key (allthough the keys i've deleted appaired te be infected). is there any possibility to get into the reg and restore/reset the password without login' in to windows. i have tried to run the tool described here http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/ and in the log it said there is no password set in the user and admin accounts. can someone please give me advise on how to get back in my computer without reinstalling xp?
