Guest Kent Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 If I reboot, I am fine for a few hours, then no page opens again. Firefox opens pages fine, as well as e-mail (Outlook) works fine. Started with IE7 I upgraded to IE8 Beta, still the same thing. I can open local pages on my PC, but not on the web. If I go to Tools-->Connections-->LAN settings IE locks up and must be closed with Task Manager. I have uninstalled IE7 and re-installed, same issue. Working within a home LAN, all other PCs work fine. All security settings at default levels. What is my 1394 Connection? Windows seems to have added it as some virtual connection, I tried disabling it, but same issues, it is back on now, but why??
Guest Bob I Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Re: Connecting... is all I get. No page ever opens. no error message. How does the PC physically connect to the rest of the system, there is where the problem lies. Kent wrote: > If I reboot, I am fine for a few hours, then no page opens again. Guest Kent Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Re: Connecting... is all I get. No page ever opens. no error mess Re: Connecting... is all I get. No page ever opens. no error mess Physical connection is fine as Firefox and Outlook both connect fine. But it is a 100Mbs LAN connection to a local NAT router and then to Cable DSL line. No page ever opens. no error mess Use my free FixIE Tool. Download it here http://pcbutts1.com/downloads/tools/tools.htm if still not working then use my Winsock repair tool from the same page. -- Cyberstalking is a crime.
