Hello,

I understand there is a Windows Service Pack Blocker Kit available to block

SP3 but I do not know where to get it, does anyone else?

Thanks,

You don't need the blocker. Just open Automatic Update and select Option #3

(Notify Only). When SP3 is offered, declined to download it.

If you choose to install the blocking tool anyway:

Re: Windows Service Pack Blocker Kit

How to prevent SP3 from being installed on your PC

(Windows Service Pack Blocker Tool Kit)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=D7C9A07A-5267-4BD6-87D0-E2A72099EDB7&displaylang=en

(Works for 1 year from date SP3 was released)

Re: Windows Service Pack Blocker Kit

I use option 1 to download but ask me when to install because that is most

convenient for all other updates.

Re: Windows Service Pack Blocker Kit

The file already downloaded I just have to keep rejecting the installation.

Is it possible to delete the downloaded file or even to find where it is to

delete?

The Notify Only option is similar, except that you must approve downloads,

too.

Yes, but tell me this first: Can you successfully uncheck and "hide" it?

Re: Windows Service Pack Blocker Kit

As far as I can tell that option is not available like it is on all their

other updates.

Re: Windows Service Pack Blocker Kit

Look again, please. I've heard conflicting reports.

If you go to Windows Update website, select CUSTOM and scan, can you hide

it?
