I installed zone alarm now it just keeps telling me my system is unstable. a little bit ofpain

What version of Zone Alarm have you installed?

Was it just the free version?

Very odd, have never heard of Zone Alarm throwing up a message like that.

When you installed ZA did you make sure that the Windows Firewall was disabled?

Instructions were in the 'Cleanup speech'.

Just to quickly poke my nose in now all the security and OTL logs are cleared up, I see from them you are using AVG anti-virus, I am not too sure but seem to remember seeing an instability issue between AVG and Zone Alarm, though it may have been a different anti-virus program hence being unsure. It was some time since I saw this, but to prove it, try turning AVG off for a short time, preferably off line of course.

cleanup

 

I have since doing the cleanup continued to do some changes that you all have advised. i.e. I installed firefox and really like the system but it seems to be getting slower to start-up every day I use it. I deleted Zone alarm as it was a pain with the pop up so went back to windows. I have installed avira free and cleared the others. system is a little slow and takes time to learn Firefox.
