Have a HP server that when I start to performance test the load goes up far

higher than I would expect based on previous server models. Using procexp

(sysinternals) it is clear that the intelppm.sys driver is taking up to 20%

of the 27^ busy CPU cycles in hardware interrupts.

Been hunting and it seems that this is a processor speed/power reduction

driver from Microsoft. How do I turn of it's functionality ?

Thanks

Re: intelppm.sys

Type "disable intelppm.sys site:microsoft.com" into Google (minus the

quotes)

Yes, and everything says only for AMD systems and do not disable on Intel, I

had had a fairly good trawl through Google. Most of the stuff is on post

SP3 XP issues. . BTW this is an Intel based system.
