Guest raymonte1 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Hi: I just loaded server 2003 on a new server. I want to enable terminal services for remote access. 1. What else is needed to enable terminal server on the machine. As of now I can not remote desktop to the servers ip address , which is 192.168.1.100 . However I can map drives to the server and connect from other pcs on the network. My objective is to use dynamic dns and be able to get to the machine from the outside world. The system is behind a comast cable connection currently. New to this so all help greatly appreciated -- Ray Montelongo

What else is needed to enable terminal server on the machine. --> Remote access access using TS to the server for administration (maximum 2 users) can be enabled from my computers' properties Remote tab. -->TS Application mode, you should install terminal services component from Add/Remove Windows components, then you will need CALs for the clients who will connect to the server. > As of now I can not remote desktop to the servers ip address , which is > 192.168.1.100 .
