I have a wireless network, and am trying to access file on a xp pro computer

with a xp home laptop, have both computers in the same workgroup with the

same user account and password, however whenever i try to access the folder

it says "You Might not have permission to access this network resource."

Any fix for this??

RE: File sharing problem

Run the file sharing wizard.

If using 3rd Party firewall, check for file sharing(LAN) exceptions on your

profile in that firewall.

Also, run the XP’s Home or Small Office Network File and Printer Sharing

Wizard to include Vista in your “New” Network, even if you had an XP Network

set up prior to adding a Vista computer to it(redoing the Wizard seems to

work for XP machines!).

In “My Network Places”: “Set up a Home or Small Office Network”

OR under Accessories > Communications > Network Setup Wizard > Allow File

and Printer Sharing.

RE: File sharing problem

I have disabled all firewalls, ran wizard on both computers, enabled file

sharing, still nothing. I got it to work when I installed "Network Magic",

then uninstalled it, it worked until I restarted my computers
