SP3

I installed SP3 of the M/S site after receiving an auto update.

The PC will now not load Windows.

It just goes into the "Select last good copy etc."

I used the CD and carried out a repair but now it gets as far as the

marching ants and goes into a "re-start".

One time I had the blue screen and the error message: 0X0000007B(OXF78D663C,

OXC 0000034,OX00000000, OX00000000)

Any help gratefully received.

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for

Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Chat and

e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada. Go to

Re: SP3

You're welcome.

If you can't start the machine in Safe Mode, take the machine to a local,

reputable and independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer

repair shop.

Re: SP3

I took the easy way out and re-installed XP.

Plus all the other programs, but I am up and running and avoiding SP3.

I guess there is a problem with Nvidia and SP3.

Re: SP3

Open a free WinXP SP3 support incident, Leon. This free support ends in

April and you'll soon have to have SP3 installed in order to be offered any

further critical security updates.
