Plastic Nev Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Hi, is this what you are looking for? Check the plug in the picture, is it the same type and size? http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/27486813/Slamtech-Laptop-Charger-For-Advent-Altro-20V-3-5A/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cat:27486813|prd:27486813 Quote Need help with your computer problems? jstokes Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Hi Thanks but no. This charger has a small rectangle that plugs in the laptop.Have done some research into this and other people cannot get this as well. Quote
KenB Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 other people cannot get this as well. I see what you mean - I looked too and found nothing with a rectangular plug. Just a thought - if the one with the rectangular plug is dead ......cut off the plug leaving a long section of the wire attached to the plug..... If there are only 2 or 3 wires it should be possible to buy one like Nev's link - cut off the round plug and solder on your rectangular one. Worth a try ? Plastic Nev Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Kens suggestion is about the only way I can see to solve the problem, be sure to make note of polarity, as in positive and negative wires going to the same when connected, usually one has a white stripe down the length of it. The type of plug you describe I have actually got one here, but unfortunately, it is the charger lead for a now old DV digital tape type video camera I have. Much lower voltage and power capabilities, so useless for you unfortunately. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here.
