Plastic Nev Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 As mentioned a scan with antivirus, and also a scan with Malwarebytes if you already have that, if not it can be downloaded from here= http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Click on the white "Download Now" button, after that you will be directed to a download site, which is normal, make sure you stay with the free version for the download. Remember to update them both before starting the scan. Be aware both a virus scan and a Malwarebytes scan can take some time, this is because the scan speed is limited by the USB speed and also in both cases the scans will be full, not quick scans. I recently used Malwarebytes to scan a friends drive using my computer, and Malwarebytes alone took nearly three hours, so just be patient while it scans. One of those times to get on with those little jobs you have been putting off for a while :D Or just relax . Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. KenB Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 To scan the drive with MBAM you will need to select the "Full Scan" - not the quick one. You will then be able to tick the drive letter attached to the drive. (You could confirm this from "Computer" before the start of the scan) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
