PC Performer Problem

WOW!!! i have a pc performer issue also but i cant even boot up not even in safe mode it keeps saying pc performer is starting to optimize registry..please wait ...then it optimizes some then restarts windows and starts all over again... Help if you can Revo sounds good but i wouldnt be able to install

Can you get to Safe Mode?

If so - can you select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

 

If you can get this far ...at the prompt type ...

C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.ex

1. Follow the on-screen instructions

im stumped i did the safe mode in cmd prompt and I never the the proper screen it just keeps going to the blue screen and saying pc performer . pc performer is starting to optimize registry.please wait... number of hives to optimize 14

optimizing\registry machine sam...

 

keeps on then

then restarting windows

and keeps doing this now i have the blue hp invent vrs1.13 that allows f9 boot menu f10 setup f12 lan network...will that be a help at all but i cant get into bios to do the c:system restore

is there help or am i just wasting or time???

Is this an XP machine and do you have an XP full installation Disk ( not recovery disks ) ?

 

If you do we can try a Repair Install of the Operating System.

no i dont and if i can get one would that erase my files if i used it...like it was a restart???

No - Not a Repair Install.

 

It would need to be exactly the same operating system - XP Pro ( if this is your OS )
