How to determine the multi-session status of a CD in XP

Please, anyone know how to determine the finalization or multi-session

status of a CDR (or CDRW or DVD etc) disc?

The CD contains data which can be listed in Windows Explorer & read/

loaded correctly. But how can you tell whether more data (& how

much) could be written without taking the potentially destructive step

of actually trying to write data?

Perhaps there is non-XP/microsoft s/w which can report on a CD disc

status?

TIA

I use Nero and I'm not sure where, but I'm almost sure there is a CD

status tool or option on the menu etc that lets you see that you have a

blank or R or RW cd and also the status (writable). I never use it

but I stumble onto it now and then.

Try the Info Tool if you have it.

ISOBuster will show you the data structure/layout of everything on

your CD.

It has some free features, and more features if you pay for it.

What is want is covered by the free functions.
