Favorites Icons

I just recently upgraded my wife's computer from Windows 2000 Professional

to Windows XP Professional.

When she had 2K she could change the icons lister under "Favorites" to the

icons of her choice.

Under XP, when she changes a "Favorites" icon it immediately reverts back.

Is there a way to change this behaviour? Right now she's hating XP due to

LOTS of little annoyances such as this.
