Guest Pearl Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 We have a TestLab and we'd like to install Windows 2003 Standard on one of our servers for a 30day test Run alongside some software that we are testing. Do we need to purchase a specific license to do this or can we just download a trial copy and use it for the 30 days?
Guest AllenM Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Re: Licensing Question It comes with 5 built in users licenses. That should suffice for testing purposes. Guest Pearl Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Re: Licensing Question So, Microsoft would not frown on us using a Trial Copy of their software for Limited Testing? Sounds reasonable. Guest AllenM Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Re: Licensing Question isn't that what "trial" copies are for? Fully licensed over a limited time frame. Guest Pearl Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Re: Licensing Question One would think that........I was just wondering how the rest of the community dealt with such things. Thanks very much. "AllenM" wrote: > isn't that what "trial" copies are for?
