Guest Otto Moehrbach Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I had a simple 2 computer network at home, both with Windows XP, 32-bit. They were networked through the router and the printer was shared. The printer is a Canon MP530 that does not have an Ethernet jack, just a USB hookup. All worked well, with both computers being able to access the one printer. Now I replaced the main computer with a 64-bit Vista machine. I downloaded a 64-bit driver file for the printer and all is working with the printer and the main computer. The 2 computers are still networked and both have internet access as before. However, the second (XP) computer has no access to the printer. How can I get the printer to work with the second (XP) computer? Thanks for your time. Otto
Guest Bob I Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Re: Networking XP to a 64-bit printer setup You will need to share it again and then connect to it under the new share.
