Guest WigglyCorpse Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 When i boot the system up, it boots up fine, I have it set to log in not requiring a password. Well it stops at that screen and asks me to click on the profile to load. There are no profiles to click on. I can not tab to any other profiles or do anything other then to turn off the system. What can i do to get past that screen?

What > can i do to get past that screen? At the Welcome screen, hit the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys at the same time twice. This should make the Log On to Windows dialog appear. Enter your user name and password and see if you can log on. If you can't, try logging on with the Administrator account. Note: If you have Windows XP Home Edition installed on your computer you'll need to boot into Safe mode to log on with the Administrator account. Where you go from here depends on the state of your user account. If it's corrupted, you'll need to create a new account and copy your files from your old account to this new one. If your user account is OK, it may be a case that it's hidden from the Welcome screen. Run the registry editor (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe) and navigate to the following registry key. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList Look in the right hand pane and see if your user account is listed with a value of 0. Right click on your account, select Modify from the menu, and change the value to 1. Good luck Nepatsfan
