KenB Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hi and welcome to ExTS switch off at the wall but leave the plug in to maintain the earth connection to the m/board. Disconnect all external hardware ( monitor / printer etc ) Take all removable cards ( RAM / Video etc ) off the motherboard Take the power connections off the drives. Disconnect the drive data cables at the m/board. leave only the 20(4) way cable from the PSU attached, Switch on. You should get POST beeps if you have an internal speaker connected. No POST beeps indicates a PSU or m/board problem. If it isn't stable - fans spinning / LEDs on / no crash / or reboot then you have a m/board or PSU problem.
