Guest Rstetson Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 While working on my Thinkpad with XP Pro this morning, something caused the machine to stop, then throw a blue screen. I've been trying to change settings, and unload software, including my anti-virus all day so here's the question. Is there anything new attacking Mozilla Firefox or Thunderbird on XP lately? Whatever is causing this has scrambled several files requiring reinstall of software, but my Antivirus stuff blows up halfway thru a scan. rsl

Guest Daniel (MVP Asia) Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 RE: Problems with XP Pro booting Yup agreed with philo, it could be due to bad ram or other hardware related issue, or u might have caught a nasty spyware or virus, be more specified inorder for other's to help you Regards Daniel (MVP Asia) "Rstetson" wrote: > While working on my Thinkpad with XP Pro this morning, something caused the > machine to stop, then throw a blue screen. > > I've been trying to change settings, and unload software, including my > anti-virus all day so here's the question. > > Is there anything new attacking Mozilla Firefox or Thunderbird on XP lately? > Whatever is causing this has scrambled several files requiring reinstall of > software, but my Antivirus stuff blows up halfway thru a scan. > > rsl
