Plastic Nev Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help. OK I mean do this on the present external monitor. Right click on a spare space on the screen, choose properties, then the tab "Settings" in that window it should show the two screens, numbered 1 and 2. At the moment 2 should be the one in use. Click on the number 1 screen, can you now place a tick in the box for "Use this device as the primary monitor"? Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. KenB Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Hi This doesn't solve your initial problem - but it is a work-around ( hopefully ) Fn + one of the "F" keys should toggle your screen from monitor to laptop. There will be 2 blue monitors on the key. mine is F5 Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
