Guest _Who Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I wish to install SQL SERVER 2008 and VS 2008 Team System. I presently have installed VS 2008 Pro and SQL 2005 There is also a folder called SQL Server Compact edition which I think is from a different installation than the SQL Server (by the folder dates). Is this from something other than SQL2005? Looking at the Add/Remove Programs listing there also appears an entry for VS 2005 professional edition-enu which I don't understand - thought I removed that before installing vs2008 pro I thought I'd uninstall everything names SQL.. and VS... And after that delete any folders so named (if any are left) Then install the new software. See anything wrong with that? I'd like to install the new additions on a disk different from the system. Is that possible? What sequence should the new software be installed? SQL before VS or the other way? Thanks in advance for any helpful advice

A search of the MS site will turn it up. In any event, this would not be the appropriate NG to get the best answers. Try microsoft.public.vsnet.general, microsoft.public.vsnet.setup and the SQL Server NGs. *TimDaniels*
