Guest wli2k2 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I have a laptop with Windows XP Home with SP3. I connect the laptop directly to the DSL router and it is set to get IP automatically. However, the last few days I noticed that it does not generate IP address. I know the DSL connection is OK since I tried another laptop. I got another PCMCIA NIC and yet it also cannot get an IP address. I did get a reply by ping 127.0.0.1. Any ideas what's wrong?
