Hi there everyone,

Everytime I turn my laptop on and log into windows I get this incredibly annoying message:

"Error - "Missing dll files. Please reinstall.""

I've tried my best to get rid of it, I've looked on other forums for people who have had the same problem and followed the same solution but it just doesn't work for me! I've tried using "sfc/scannow" in cmd prompt and checked the disk for errors however neither of these work and I'm stuck as to what to do.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks, Dan

Hi and welcome to ExTS

You can try sfc /scannow a couple of times.

Sometimes it will pick up an error on the second run.

When you say you have checked the disk for errors - I assume this was chkdsk /r /f ?

Start ....type in ....devmgmt.msc .....ENTER

Click the + next to the devices.

Are there any with yellow exclamation marks ?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Tried everything you've suggested and it appears that nothing is wrong, I tried everything a few times now, including chkdsk /r /f and this error message is still there, the laptop runs perfectly but this message just doesn't want to go away!

Thank you for your help though KenB!
