Windows Search 4.0 Outlook 2007

I've just installed Search 4.0 and it was set to index my Outlook emails but

Outlook kept crashing when I close it so I decided not to have my Outlook

emails indexed. I deleted the search plugin in Outlook and have de-selected

it in Windows Search settings, but every time I open the search settings,

Outlook is back. How can I remove it from Windows search permanently?
