/span flag makes desktop icons disappear when Show Desktop is pres

I recently reinstalled Windows 2003 with Terminal Services because the old

one started to behave badly. Everything went just fine, but I notice one

oddity. The users who are using dual monitors also use the /span flag for

obvious reasons, but this flag now causes the desktop icons to

disappear/reappear with regular windows when Show Desktop button is pressed.

To clarify, all icons disappear when this button is pressed or when "show

the desktop" option is selected from the right click menu of the task bar.

They also appear again when these options are selected again, just like

regular windows do. This does not happen when the /span flag is not used.

I find this very odd and have no idea how to troubleshoot this, nor have I

ever heard of such behaviour. Any help is greatly appreciated.
