Guest RobWUK Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 We have a recent issues where the users Home drive, mapped via their profile for Home drive is only mapping to the share level ie \\server\home\ and no \\server\home\%username%. This is a very recently problem and appears to be only occuring on XP desktops. Doesn't seem to be an issue on terminal server profiles. All this as worked for 3 year before this problem started occuring. Could this be a client side patch?

This is a known issue - enable "always wait for network at computer startup and logon" in group policy and make sure it applies to all workstations.

Any idea why this would start occuring after three years? Had 4 instance in the last week and nothing previously. I'm not sure, but I know it's an issue and this policy setting is always recommended. I've seen it happen intermittently as well. > > "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: > >> RobWUK <RobWUK@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >>> We have a recent issues where the users Home drive, mapped via their >>> profile for Home drive is only mapping to the share level ie >>> \\server\home\ and no \\server\home\%username%. >>> >>> This is a very recently problem and appears to be only occuring on >>> XP desktops.
