Guest Home Designer Dave Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I Installed windows update Service pack 3 and immediately lost my ability to create a print window in my CAD program using ANY printer. The "position print window" button does nothing. I can print in other programs do not require the print window. I also lost my ability to restore my computer to an earlier date.
Guest Rui Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Re: Service Pack 3 print issue I'm guessing that you are talking about "an earlier date" as being before SP3. If you want to get rid of SP3 then go to Add/Remove Software and uninstall SP3. -- Rui "Home Designer Dave" <Home Designer Dave@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:73E9A2BB-9603-440C-9011-F55700A21F32@microsoft.com... >I Installed windows update Service pack 3 and immediately lost my ability >to > create a print window in my CAD program using ANY printer. Hi Dave, Haven't personally experienced any issues installing SP3 on dozens of workstations, but there are instances of problems. In Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, click the "Show Updates" and scroll down to Windows Service Pack 3 and click the Remove button. -- Terry R. ***Reply Note*** Anti-spam measures are included in my email address. Guest Home Designer Dave Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Re: Service Pack 3 print issue Getting rid of the SP3 was what it took to solve my problems. This is what I used: 1. Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe in the Open box, and then click OK. 2. When the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Removal Wizard starts, click Next. 3. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP3. This cleared away SP3 and I have noticed no ill affect.
