Guest pengi Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Unable to access internet. Options have been chnaged to never dial a connection. Changed to always dial default and OK at time. When log off and start again it goes back to to never dial again. Happens every time I go on. Also affects all 3 users on the laptop. can sort but only for that session. Doesn't appear to hold changed settings?

Guest pengi Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 RE: internet options change on log off. Thanks for this Andrew. Did a virus check and all OK. How do I repair install windows? Any other suggestions? Pengi "Andrew" wrote: > Scan for viruses and all that nasty stuff. If that doesnt work, reapir > install Windows. > > "pengi" wrote: > > > Unable to access internet. Guest pengi Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Re: internet options change on log off. I have Bullguard security suite installed. Did a full virus check and it found some problems which it was able to fix apparently. Since then of the 3 users who have access to the laptop - 1 is able to open explorer and connect to the internet with no problems. The other 2 are sometimes able to connect OK but mostly they can't and, on checking, the internet connection tab shows "never dial a connection". I have hada look at your postings and gone onto the microsoft security site. I will try downloading the malware removal tool and see what that does - otherwise I will take it into a dealer as I am not very confident with this. Thanks for your help though - I appreciate it.
