Guest Neil Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Hello, I have just reinstalled Windows XP on my computer, however I cannot get any of my USB peripheral to work. I checked the device manager and it says that I don't have the Univerisal Serial Bus (USB) Controller Driver, I have been looking around and I have been unable to find a driver. I am using USB 1 still. Can anyone point me in the right direction of the relevant driver? As this is really annoying because I have a lot of my files on external USB Harddisks and at the moment I can't access any of them. Thank you Neil.

It will download the USB 2.0 drivers for you. Every time you reinstall early XP, you have to do the above. -- Mick Murphy - Qld (Sunshine State) - Australia "Neil" wrote: > Hello, > > I have just reinstalled Windows XP on my computer, however I cannot get any > of my USB peripheral to work. Are you using the original 2002 version of XP? You need at least SP1a installed for USB2 to work. Or is it SP2? It's been so long since I installed either as individual updates.
