Desktop Shortcut Icon

My desktop icon in Quick launch disappeared. I made another but what I came

up with brings up a page with all the desktop icons on it rather than the

desktop itself. What is the correct Quick Launch shortcut to bring up the

desktop?

Open Notepad, and enter this text:

 

[shell]

Command=2

IconFile=explorer.exe,3

[Taskbar]

Command=ToggleDesktop

 

Save it as "Show Desktop.scf" (with quotes) and put it into your Quick

Launch.

 

 

 

You can also press Win+D to get to the desktop.

I presume you mean the "Show desktop" icon
