Guest letterman@invalid.com Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I have a dead entry in Control Panel. I removed the software (not part of Win98). I removed all associations in the registry for this program, yet that dead entry in CP remains. Where is that information stored (what file)? Thanks LM

Search for the .cpl files. letterman@invalid.com wrote: > I have a dead entry in Control Panel. I removed the software (not > part of Win98). I removed the program but that CPL file was still there. So much for the uninstaller cleaning up all the junk residue. Thanks for the help. >letterman@invalid.com wrote: >> I have a dead entry in Control Panel. I removed the software (not >> part of Win98).
