Write Delayed Failed Message

Hi.

I have a 250GB external hard drive as a backup drive. Whenever I try to save

to this device, I keep getting a write delay failed message. There is nothing

wrong with the drive because it works fine on any other pc. I can access all

the info on the drive and copy from the drive with no problems. I'm using XP

Home Edition with SP2. The drive is plugged into a USB slot (USB 2 enabled)

Please help, it's driving me crazy.

Re: Write Delayed Failed Message

Tried disabling "write caching" for the ext. USB hd ?

Control Panel | System | Hardware | Dvice Manager | Disk Drives |

right-click the required drive | properties | Policies Tab | clear check box

regards, Richard
